Ruth has enjoyed a varied career, starting out as an actor at the age of 14 as ‘Helen Kelly’ in Grange Hill, a character that spanned 4 years. Then the obligatory roles in The Bill every eighteen months or so as well as small parts in other programmes such as, Prime Suspect, Dangerfield and I love Keith Allen.

Ruth then went into the social work sector using her drama skills to work alongside young people, those with addictions and incarcerated men and women both here and New Zealand (NZ).

Now back in the UK after 13 years in NZ, Ruth works as an Engagement Specialist and L&D Coordinator for an AMAZING organisation, MKC Training Services. 

Ruth is also a writer and after the success of her plays, LAVVIES and LAVVIES 2 in NZ is looking to produce them here in her home country.

Ruth loves the character of Celia Bott and is excited to be part of the Kidults productions off Broadway and London 2026.
